Backing up quite a bit here. I mean to tell you of the fantastic box that is Planet Art. An entire quarter of a city block is devoted to Social Welfare in this tiny dutch city. The building that rests there is to be torn down in the next year. Until then Case Co. has taken over this giant 6 story building and produced odd paintings in every window. A wall of flikering boxes down on the first floor as if it were ready to distrubute its mass somewhere else at any moment. Giant posters were made to plaster around the building. A loop of the Living Proof Caroliner Video played around the corner with laminated pictures of various shows tacked up here and there. 20 people showed up to pay 3 Euros to watch the show. A joke? No, there was just a dance party around the corner where a major normal celebrity was playing some lps. Interesting!

Massonic Youth played the first part of the night. They were plastic coated box pushing vikings with masonic symbols instead of the usual horns and helmets. A giant sword waving over all. Black confetti in the air like snow. The music was a tone accordian, a sunbag box, some disc jokey equipment, plus things I could barely see in the dim ominous light. Great terror followed by Massassecci, a band from New Hampshire (they announced this) with puppets and confusing moving images of puppets and drawings over duck chasing. There was some fine cheering from the small crowd.

Caroliner's set was interesting. Some sound drop outs. One black light sun shining as the lights we brought were not useful. The dutch who were there nodded and jumped up and down in one place so I suppose it was good for a few. These Europeans never put down the cigarrette, like magic they reappear after moments of the butt setting down.

We will talk later.
Yours,
