Pumpkin Headed Kids with the Horsemane Hair

Those brats went crazy when they’d see the glass
Because the hair was so thick & it hung down past
The heads they were born with were extreme too,
A smile that went up & down & circumference plain huge.
They’d sew little nets all day in their rock fort
And capture bottles by running along the wharf;
One had a basket & pony tails too
& would whinny like a horse [& or that’d] worry him to glue.

Trick those buggers (in)to steal some glass
That sat on a pot I had buried quicksand.
Came one running & jumping swinging net too
When I could catch that it’s a behind I’ll bruise.
The pot was deep & he sunk in
but that head bobbed up with a crooked grin
Net snagging blown glass & smashing it too
Bobbed out of the pot with strong climbing shoes.

I chased for a good mile or so away
Shaking glass out of net & hair along the way
& that head was a backend of a horse I thought too
The 2 legs I’d cut off & throw in with a stew.
I ran up winded & then walked back down
& off in the distance I heard a huff sound.
I wound down to thinking if the inside of a horse is true
To have a wide circumference & a crooked smile too.
