Out of Nowhere

(1988 issue)

(2007 reissue)

Description

This album was recorded in 1961 with Steve Swallow and Paul Bley, but was left unreleased until Candid uncovered it in 1988 at released it on CD. Featuring liberal interpretations of jazz standards.

Re-released in Sept. 2007 by Candid.

Mysteries:

Was this album ALSO unreleased at the time of Don's death in 1978? It was at first believed that this was called "Improvisations", but was renamed upon release. Not so, since the album called Improvisations was recently discovered. So was this album released during Don's lifetime or not?

What it boils down to is this: is the album under the catalogue number CS 9032 a vinyl or a CD? and was this album ever even released as a vinyl?
